Why Graphene Week?
Graphene Week is THE best place to meet and network with the global community of scientists, innovators and leaders on graphene and related two-dimensional materials.
Organised by the Graphene Flagship, Graphene Week 2017 will be held in Athens, Greece, 25-29 September, at the Divani Caravel Hotel facing the Acropolis. The ambitious programme includes over 30 talks by invited world leading experts on topics related to graphene and related materials (GRM) ranging from fundamental science to applications within nanocomposites, electronics, energy, biomedicine and much more. Keynote speakers are Hong Jun Gao from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jose Garrido from Spanish ICN2 and Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov from the University of Manchester.
Get Involved
The popular Innovation Forum fringe sessions focus on many different aspects of graphene innovation such as standardisation, the GRM roadmap and commercialisation. Furthermore there are sessions highlighting the mechanisms of EU's largest ever research initiative, the Graphene Flagship, as well as ethic aspects of science. The Women in Graphene fringe session is known to draw a full house and engage the audience in lively discussions.
Local host is Graphene Flagship partner FORTH - Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas.
Graphene Week - the Annual Gathering for Graphene Technology Leaders
Originating from 2006, Graphene Week is the annual gathering for international leading experts on graphene and two-dimensional materials, creating Europe’s most influential conference. Organised by the Graphene Flagship, the conference is set to present the latest scientific results, outstanding networking activities, and innovative exhibition opportunities.
Since the first Graphene Week, the conference has been staged in various location across Europe, and has continued to grow with every edition. Surpassing all projections, Graphene Week had a record-breaking 700+ attendees in 2016’s edition in Warsaw, Poland.
