In recognition of scientific and technological excellence in tire manufacturing
at the Tire Technology International Awards 2018*. The awards were judged by a panel of 31 among international tire industry experts, analysts, business members and academia.
BDSPs represent, as mentioned above, one of the results of the ISMAC-Versalis collaboration, a collaboration that has been going on for several years (about 10), and which has led to the filing of several international patents concerning the synthesis of new extremely active and selective catalysts for the homo- and co-polymerization of 1,3-dienes.
* The Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence, founded in 2008, is the independent European award program for the tire industry. The initiative rewards the smart thinking and hard work of the tire design and manufacturing industry. The shortlist is compiled from nominations received from the readers of Tire Technology International, and with the input of the magazine's editorial team. It is then sent to the independent panel of international tire industry experts for them to cast their votes and determine the winners, with the presentations being made at Tire Technology Expo in Hannover each February.
