01Bologna (Italy) 31 Aug - 3 Sep 2021.
Dear colleague,

We invite you to present your latest research at the 3rd edition of CHEM2DMAT, which will be held in Bologna (Italy):

The goal of this conference is to provide a gathering point for the community of researchers working, in Europe and worldwide, on 2D materials, covering all areas related to 2D materials' chemistry for composites, foams and coatings, membranes, (bio-)sensing, catalysis, energy conversion, harvesting and storage, electronics, nanomedicine, biomaterials.
The 3rd edition of the conference will be in Bologna (Italy), home of the most ancient university of Europe, and a famous tourist destination for art, culture and food. Bologna also hosts a large research hub of the National Research Council, where CHEM2DMAT conference will be held.

- 27 Keynotes & Invited Speakers

CHEM2DMAT will be an in-person meeting!

In the last year, the scientific community has been forced to meet through on-line conferences, which are not as effective as physical in person meetings. We know very well that it is difficult to plan travelling now, but we decided to be bold and communicate a positive message, planning  an in person conference with support to our participants who want to join the conference.
At the moment, situation foresight looks good, and the timing of CHEM2DMAT at the end of august is ideal to take advantage of the positive effect of summer and vaccinations.
If instead limitations persist and CHEM2DMAT cannot be held in person, the conference will go virtual, with lower registration fees.
To reassure people in these uncertain times, the deadline for registration payment will be delayed till mid-july.
The conference will be held at the Research area of Bologna, where there will be ample space for social distancing on top of all standard safety measures (temperature control at the entrance, hand sanitizer dispensers,  face mask rules, etc.).

Special option "meet the nature editor" at CHEM2DMAT

This year, participants of CHEM2DMAT will have the opportunity of a one-to-one session with an editor of the Nature Portfolio journals, to present new ideas and discuss possible publications. Alberto Moscatelli, PhD, Senior Editor of Nature Nanotechnology, currently Locum Chief Editor of Communication Chemistry , will be available during CHEM2DMAT to give direct advice on possible publication of your results on the most suitable journal of Nature Portfolio.
An on-line module to book a "meet the editor" time slot will be sent to registered participants in due advance.

With best wishes,

Vincenzo Palermo (Italian National Research Council (CNR), Italy) - Chair
Antonio Correia (Phantoms Foundation, Spain) / Xinliang Feng (TU Dresden / cfaed, Germany) / Paolo Samori (Université de Strasbrourg / CNRS, France)
